What does it mean to be
A Higher level?
We Never Settle for good enough
Being a higher level means never settling for “good enough.” It means every rifle is built with purpose, tested with care, and finished with pride. At Kelbly’s, a higher level is tighter tolerances, better materials, and proven performance you can trust when it matters most. It’s the difference between owning a rifle, and owning confidence.Being a higher level means never settling for “good enough.” It means every rifle is built with purpose, tested with care, and finished with pride. Kelbly Lifetime warranty
This warranty covers any of Kelbly’s Rifles, Actions, Stocks, and Scope Rings. We have always stood behind our products 100%, we decided it is time to put it into writing for you our beloved customers. We will back everything but the longevity of your barrel and firing pin springs, as we all know barrels and firing pin springs have a lifespan and are expendable in the competition shooting scene. That means if you break it in any fashion, we will fix it no questions asked. We build the best rifle products in the world and you deserve to know that your rifle company won’t let you down!
Kelbly’s History
In 1969, Ralph Stolle, an active bench rest competitor, designed and built an unlimited steel action that he called the Stolle Grizzly. It was a round action, over 14 inches in length,1.700″ in diameter, with a blued finish. He built somewhere between 25 and 30 of them, mostly for unlimited bag guns. In 1970-71, Stolle manufactured the first aluminum Panda action, which was 11.5″ inches in length with a long barrel thread area. Stolle suffered a heart attack in 1979, and moved to North Lawrence a year later. In 1981 he produced his first actions at Kelbly’s facility with George E. Kelbly Sr. Ralph Stolle passed away inSeptember 1982. In November 1982 Jim Kelbly was hired in with George E. Kelbly Jr. coming on board in 1986 and Mike Kelbly in 1991.In 2009 Kelbly’s launched the Atlas Action, followed by the Atlas Tactical in 2010.In 2012 George Sr. retired and sold company to his three sons and Kelbly’s Inc. now has 14employees including Ian and Ryan Kelbly, both Jim’s sons.In 2020 the anti-shear bolt stop was launched to upgrade all Atlas action bolt stops. In 2021 we launched the Prometheus and Nanook actions, rounding out our flagship offerings for high end tactical and hunting rifles. In 2022 we launched the Atlas Lite action to round out our value line of hunting actions. In 2024 we launched the 75 degree bolt throw to clear modern oculars and increase cycling speed.
